I just wanted to say that i kind of hate Aalto. Why?
I really wanted to get rid of it - since i went mostly freeware while back and it's the last commercial synth besides drum stuff like Battery and Tremor in my setup, all others were sold or given away - but it's simply impossible.
Aalto is just too good. I know how does it sound, yeah.
I have 2 different modulars in my plugin rack - sonigen and kamioooka - and while being versatile as f**k, they still fail so much at coming even close to aalto.
Instantly inspiring synth. There's virtually nothing coming to my mind that can do usable patches and 9 kinds of batish crasy effects so well and so quickly as aalto.
I know there's Beat (or CM) version, but it's monophonic, so not so usable to me.
I hate Aalto. Really, really do.
We need more stuff like that
Having said that, this shameless praise-rant is now officialy over, so we may add some actual content to this topic:
Do you guys know of any 3rd party banks for Aalto? Free and commercial aswell.
Anything worth recommending?
thanks.

2 more:

I definitely agree with the idea that Aalto gets sounds out of it which other synths don't. It's possible VAZ Modular could be an exception, but I haven't had a chance to sit down with it and confirm that.

Even more soundsets for Aalto:
http://www.zensound.es/soundsets/aalto-aaltosphere/
http://www.zensound.es/soundsets/aalto- ... machinery/
http://www.zensound.es/soundsets/aalto-musicbox-free/ (this last is free)
Aalto is easy and very surprising synth, it is too good
In my case Kaivo will be a must buy, nice interface too.
