Most of them. I think the majority of sci-fi is pretty crap.

There are a few I like, and I think remembering them at the movie theater because they were great is what sticks in my mind more than anything. Movies like Aliens (I wasn't old enough to see Alien when it was released) and Event Horizon are ones that really stick in my head, but when they're bad it's awful to see them in a movie theater. Thankfully I didn't see too many that way, but I'm sure I've seen a few.

For the worst, just about anything on the Syfy channel.

Starcrash. There is still a big brown spot in the middle of the screen of the Sherwood Cinema in my hometown from me throwing a coke at it when I paid actual money to see that movie....
To be a teen again(sigh)

Speaking of Corman;

Galaxy of Terror

sheesh.
To laymen, software development is something akin to wizardry. Neither time, nor effort are involved. If software is missing features they want, or has bugs, it is solely because someone has been too lazy to wave their magic wand.

Me to. No coke throwing though. Corman deserves credit for giving James Cameron his first job in Battle Beyond The Stars - which I did see in theaters and really enjoyed....

The idea behind Battlefield Earth wasn't that bad - the camera angles, the acting, the "stupidity" by the humans (the language) and the undertone "funded by Scientology". Absolute trash.

I do give credit to "FF: Spirits Within". Like I said, technically absolute great at that time. Squaresoft really pushed the 3D industry (which they later proved over and over with future Final Fantasy games, and collaborations with other developers). But the story was worse than their games (actually, copied even) and "Microbe-type Monsters"? Orange glowing? Veeeery creative - the next 10 years of 3D gaming and movies, it wasn't really overdone enough (blue/green/orange glow).

Which brings me to both Vexille and Appleseed - the Cel-Shading 3D movies. They should have stayed in the "hand drawn" realm visually, and story wise - in the farthest back of the shelves. At least Appleseed (nothing close to the Manga anymore), and Vexille started to suck after 30minutes in.

Give me one of the 3D CGI Resident Evil movies any day.
