Not when you got bands like The Stranglers around ;)

i got really into new order listening to the 12" remixes. then started exploring from there. many trips of a sunday to camden market to search out bootleg cassettes and vinyl rarities from new order and also joy division

i´ll +1 elegia as one if my favourites, but procession is the one i can listen to over and over still to this day

other highlights for me are the first album, movement, with the intro of dreams never end providing one of the best intros to an album ever

 Quite true!!!

I've got everything from the Warsaw demos to The Other Two, to Bad Lieutenant, and more. I've always loved the blend of electronic and guitars with Hooky's unique treatment on the bass. They have a unique sound that comes from each member's unique sound, that many have tried to emulate (Lightning Seeds, KonKan, etc.) but no one has ever been able to do it well. :-) No rips on the Lightning Seeds or KonKan or the others, but there really has been only ONE New Order. :-)

a couple of years back when they did the joy division tribute tour, my mates son was filling in on drums for them, i had the pleasure of being sat upstairs while they where rehearsing in the basement :)
he also did drums for that "freebase" project that hooky and mani put together, heard a few of their rehearsals too.

Elegia was also used prominently in Pretty in Pink.

Yeah, but still, New Order ain't got nothin' on Zeppelin in that department.

Thanks for the vid! The only place I'd ever heard this track was in the interval idents on the Substance 1989 Video.
