Unless it's a Dark Zebra?
I've been getting most of my 'analog' needs out of it.

Thanks!
Howard's idea of 'Global/FX' at the center is great idea.
However, I can't seem to re-arrange the items on the bottom bar (tab).
Same with giving each item a different size. Some things are hard coded I think. :(
If anyone knows something, please let me know. Urs?

Hi,

Sorry, my internet time is very limited during vacation ;)

The tabs are represented by layers of Pane controls. A Pane can display one layer at a time, but any child object on a Pane can be on any number of layers (well, up to 32). This is realised by the layermask, which is a 32-bit hexadecimal number.

layerMask='1' means it's on the layer 0, because 1 is 2^0
layerMask='8' means it's on the fourth (layer 3), because 8 is 2^3

no comes the tricky part:

layerMask='F3' means it's on the layers 7, 6, 5, 4, 1 and 0

Hence, in order to rearrange layers one has to do some really tricky find & replace

To rearrange layers 2 and 3 for instance you'd need to go about it like that:

replace "parent='MainPane' layerMask='2'" with "parent='MainPane' layerMask='xxx'"
replace "parent='MainPane' layerMask='3'" with "parent='MainPane' layerMask='2'"
replace "parent='MainPane' layerMask='xxx'" with "parent='MainPane' layerMask='3'"

And then check all those that are on 2 but not on 3, such a FF3, which becomes FF5 and vice versa…

It's tedious without the editor… really… it is...

Thank you for the explanation Urs!
This gives me some ideas to try out.

I really wasn't in a hurry as I've got other things to do first.
Enjoy your vacation. :)

Ironically, ZebraHZ is doing many of my 'analog emulations' (because of the HZ filters).

Look forward to see it coming :hyper: I am becoming a big fan of your work. Divalicious is a must for my DIVA. I'm sure that Zebralicious will be a must for my Zebra HZ (hope it will arrive in time... I mean, before Zebra 3.0) :wink:

In our evil minds we came up with a cruel scheme that keeps The Dark Zebra on sale even after Zebra 3 comes out :clown:

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention:
Yesterday on my way to Ikea, it suddenly struck me.

Back home and after a couple of minutes of scripting
adding a few lines, not messing with layermasks and all that,
it's there: Global/Fx at the center.
Image
The original tab-bar, one tab to rule them all (hidden).
3 slave tab-bars, left, center and right (visible).
...and some "creative" graphics mapping.
So ok, it's a shortcut/workaround/hack, whatever, but it works.

The car is indeed a great vehicle for all kinds of creative ideas. :hihi:

Have a nice day.
