I guess one of the fender reverb cabs with a nice echo delay, quadraverb, chorus with a touch of distortion might do the trick.
Do you use multis in ele6?

The built-in fx in Electri6ity are really limited. AmpliTube (is what I assume you meant) will definitely be a step up.

Took me months to get the hang of programming Electri6ity and Guitar Rig tones.. and still learning. Don't be discouraged.

I just use single instruments in Electri6ity. They are really ram hungry (I don't disk stream).. can't imaging trying to stack them up.
Hey progtronic
Just got amplitube and it is a real improvement. Just a question, how do you get that nice strumming sound at the 39 sec mark. Is it a manual strum using a guitar or keyboard using the strum key,I think f & f#.I'm a keyboard player.

Neither.. I drew it into the piano roll at (I think) a 32bpm quantize seperation between the note triggers.

The strum keys are better for basic (faster) strumming IMO.. anything more defined I draw in by hand.

I use the strum/retrigger keys for single notes as well. I hit an initial note, then retrigger it with one of three sets of strum keys I have set up for chuckas, dead, and half mutes. Helps me get a more consistent 'Metal' styled, muted riff.

And, of course.. it also works well for those chunky, open chord rhythms I do a lot.

The (unfortunately named) 'Solo Finger Picked Acoustic' is definitely a step in the right direction.. and a much better demo.

Hope to hear more like that.

I think the high water mark (IMO) for most realistic, virtual Acoustic guitar.. has to go to AmpleSound. I almost went with their product(s).. but found out that they can only be drop tuned by one full step. Just not gonna work for the craziness I have planned (drop A-flat). :P

Being able to tune down to, wtf ever.. within Kontakt (beyond the drop C), with Acou6tics.. is a huge advantage.

Belive me, you'll only need to wait a week or two - maybe less. I've heard some really awesome demos done with the beta. But those haven't been done with the final samples so those guys are waiting for the release version till they mixdown the demos. Especially wait till there are some good strumming demos!

Hi,

Does anyone know how to strum all strings when auto chord detection is off? When I have auto chord detection on all strings are strummed (when pressing F5 and F#5) but when I turn it off only one of the strings of the chord are strummed. I don't want to use auto chord detection because it doesn't play the chords the way I want it.

Help appreciated!

PS. The "Strum Range" in Settings > Strumming are set to "Strum All Strings"

Post

Well, you know that "All Strings" means all strings you are playing in a chord? If you turn "Auto Detection" off and you play only three notes on three strings, the "Strum All Strings" keys will only strum those three strings.

Regarding the "Auto Detection": You do know that you can choose the chords you want to play and learn them? Acou6tics has up to 25.000 guitar chords in it's library (per guitar) and I'm really wondering which chords you are trying to play that can't be learned on the chord page.

Sorry, forgot to say I'm using Electri6ity, not Acou6tics.

For example, if I play an E9 with auto chord detection on, Electri6ity choose to play it this way:

Image

I have to turn off auto chord detection, change fretboard position to "5" and play E, B, D, F# to play it this way:

With auto chord detection on all the strings that are "pressed down" are strummed but without it only one of the strings are strummed.

I would love that "Chords Tab" for Electri6ity...

Make sure You're in polyphonic mode, f#0 key switch.

I'm in polyphonic mode.

Yeah, Electri6ity would definitely could need something like the new chord detection, but you need to keep in mind that this was a Kontakt 4 library. Acou6tics uses Kontakt 5 and makes a lof of use of all the new features. Something like that was was simply not possible back then.

Btw. check out these two new Vir2 Acou6tics demos - made with the 1.1 update, which will be released soon. It's an incredibly detailed mockup of Baden Powell's Solitude On Guitar by Przemyslaw Kopczyk. The background hiss/ambience you hear, by the way, is added as an effect to mimic the original recording even more.

so dynamitec. Here's the inevitable question. When will you give us Electri6ity 1.5 or maybe even 2, with all the new features from Acou6tics and Kontakt 5?
