And just when I thought that Audiobus is one of the greatest achievements in the iOS music creation, it turned out that there is even something greater, the Audiobus 2. LOL

These are really great times we are living in.

iPad2 owner here- I'm looking forwards to being able to save presets, but other than that I won't be able to fully take advantage of it...

TBH, I like the IAA in iOS 7, but still Audiobus is it! And Audiobus 2 will further leave the IAA in dust.

Maybe I'm just not clever enough, but I'm having a hard time picturing how the multiple independent "pipelines" is going to be very useful unless you're able to sync midi devices across the pipelines. And in my experience, midi syncing is not a strong suit of the ios platform.

Because you won't have to have every source going through the same fx.

It limited how many "pipelines" you're going to run at the same time anyway.
I can see the obvious benefits of AB2. But it's not a revolution if you're not able to make music with AB1 either.

Right, I get that benefit. In my mind, the big question is what can you do with multiple pipelines *simultaneously*. I suppose I can see a benefit of having a single midi source (like a DAW) driving multiple sound sources, which are independently routed through different effects and then the audio gets routed back into the daw. There's going to have to be some development on the DAW side though to be able to simultaneously handle multiple midi outputs and multiple audio inputs. If this is how it's going to work, I guess we're getting a step closer to computer DAWs
