tq wrote:Hi Simon,

bought the update, but haven't heard back from you. Could it be that you sent me a mail but it was lost? (Can't find it in the spam folder, though...)

Just in case you need my info, I could PM you. Sorry if I sound impatient, but I am eager to try this one! :-)

Best,
TQ
I've been sending out links every 10 minutes for the last 4 hours, so probably my mail got lost somehow, please pm me.

Bump the update 2.0.

Post

Downloaded and un'rar'ed early, early, early this morning. Probably won't get aroung to installing until tomorrow or the next day,

On a side note. Rarzilla has given me a lot of problems in unpacking. Sometimes it just annoyingly freezes. But what's really annoying is it will tell you when a file is corrupted, but doesn't tell you which file it is. I finally decided to use the trial of winrar and it works fantastic, unfortuantely in another week or so, I'll have to break down and buy it. But completely worth the 30 bucks it seems to kill the frustration I got from Rarzilla.

I use 7-zip, which handles all the RAR files I've thrown at it so far, and is free. Not sure how well it handles corrupted files, though... :scared:

Metallurgy will definitely be a star in my next ambient track! :D

I have 7-zip also, but for some reason it hasn't been able to unpack rar for me.
Not sure how it shows corrupted files, but what it has unpacked for me was simple and unobtrusive.

7-zip does produce errors with large highly compressed RARs occasionally, as some of my patchpool customers have reported. But directing them to Rarzilla (as in all my order confirmation mails) has always solved the problem. It seems to be OS-related which apps work best for which system, I have been using Entropy (Mac) for a while not (not free though) and it's absolutely flawless in compressing and uncompressing RARs, the best I've used so far.

I'll be curious to hear your next track, it always feels a bit like Christmas hearing some of my sounds in action (other than myself).

Bumping the update for the weekend.

Post

I think this update deserves another bump.

Post

It is great.

hat said, my unpacked update was 2.87 GB, not 3.07 GB. Am I missing something? I don't appear to be, but thought I'd ask.
Tangled roots perplex her ways.

It should be 2.87 GB or 3,086,722,392 bytes. Depending on how you count it, both are right.

And we have a trailer for this library, video artist: Jim Gawne, I did the soundtrack today only using Metallurgy sounds (of course), about 20+ instances of Alchemy were used:
