What the title says. It starts at 0:44 and then goes an octave higher in the drop. It's the only sound I have no idea how to replicate. If you guys know a VST that can produce or have a preset that has that sound, let me know. :D

And here's what I've done. The pluck is the only missing element :(

P.S. any advice on improving what I've already got is welcome :)

If you are looking for some ethnic string sound instead of some usual guitar or mandolin try keywords llike KOTO (japanese string instrument) or ZHENG (chinese one).

Actually similar stuff can be achieved with mostly every synth. Some do it better than others. If you have one with a Comb Filter try that. Or look for a dedicated physical modelleing synth if you don´t wanna use samples.

Your drop sounds nice btw. Not my kind of music though. :D

Here is some more indepth info about it:

I found the closest preset to it. It was a Harp in Nexus but it just sounds similar. :(

Here's my progress

Me not but perhaps this one helps:

Perhaps not exactly what you are looking for but a good starting point to tweak it to your needs.

To get a more exact sound, your going to have to use a real Koto or find it in a sampler library. If you use logic, there is a great one in the exs24 sampler under factory - world wide - asian.
It's ok to like big room!
I think....
ok maybe it isn't...

That´s the plug-sound you patched on your own with Massive? Nice one. And who cares if it sounds like the original one or not. If you are lucky then people will ask you how you got that cool sound without using the original one.
