Hi everyone,
Info: Macbook Pro, Digital Performer 7.24, Battery 4 Kontakt 5

I'd like to find a couple options of software (AU for DP7) that comes with lots of drum patterns of different styles to fluidly test while playing the music I composed (e.g. I've done something for base, piano and guitar and the drums are the only thing that's left)
I've got some folders with drum pattern midi files, but it is really slow to drag them one by one until I find one I like. I like the sounds of Battery 4.

Thanks Very Much
Fran

I personally use EZplayer Pro by Toontrack, I don't know of anything similar. It can on the fly wrap/map whatever source the MIDI is for (for example if you were to buy some of the Toontrack MIDI Groove packs then to use them with Kontakt or Battery, Simply select either from the map wrap options). Does all this in realtime/on the fly and from what I can gather is exactly what you are describing, However I could be way off base/totally wrong. Check it out for full details, demo videos...etc. here: http://www.toontrack.com/products.asp?item=27
Hope that helps and is the sort of tool you are looking for

All the best and to all as always :)

Me too, I want to scan midi presets into some drum kits synths, usually the kick and snares are all mapped to same place if done right? Any software for this?

EZ Player Pro will also split midi items up into different drum elements based on standard key mapping. It's a cool product, not only for browsing but it will let you combine and render different midi clips on the fly to come up with new things and different variations. :tu:
