Hey we are 2 guys from cologne starting a new "Spacemusic"(anythingyouwannacallit)-Project.
We are making music for some years in different styles and variations and starting this cause of the ask for an alternative Soundtrack for X3 Terran Conflict & Inspiration of the Graphics and Ambient of the Ingame-Sectors.
The game is working with sectors and we try to give every Sector his own Ambiance.
The Original Soundtrack is fully electronic so we decided to keep this style and the style of the races in the game.
In this process maybe you wanna join it, critizise or collaborate with us to create a different Soundtrack.

I like Maelstrom. It has a slow burning feel to it with sounds gradually seeping into the mix in a very satisfying way.The last section is excellent, great pads...

Thx for listening Allomerus & pser!
Yes there is a description of each sector in the game:
http://www.xdatabase.de/x3-reunion/en/s ... m.130.html
So i try to reach the ambient of each sector.
There are 120+ sectors so would be great if someone is interested in a noncommercial soundtrack-collaboration.

Very space-ish.
Can imagine this working quite well with some less beat-driven passages on X3 (I've sunk many an hour on the X games in the past!)

I listened to three tracks. All were perfectly produced and would work well for a soundtrack. Smooth and spacey. Perhaps they could use some memorable sounds to make them stand apart from each other.

Thx for listening Franz!
The Tracks are produced as Backgroundtracks ingame.
So its very difficult to make them not stand in foreground
But im still starting with the soundtrack and im happy for every critics to become better with that

Great wide evolving work on all four tracks x-periments.
And I agree with the others about Maelstrom in particular having a great feel to it.
However, my favourite is Menelaus Paradise because I think your contrasting harder beats make it more memorable in my mind.
Great stuff - cheers
Doug
