Well, you're in some good company - Roxy Music and The Police have both tackled this subject matter in the past. I really liked the sound of the guitar loops. I thought I could hear some plosive action on the vocals, which was being accentuated by the reverb (unless the heavy breathing was intentional)

Thanks! I was trying to get some feeling into the vocals - I'm a horrid singer, only with Voxformer was I able to get close to what I wanted.

Don't fret about your singing, it sounds fine, you could even get away with less reverb.
Maybe change the lines "Don't run away from me" to "Don't float (fly, slide?) away from me"
