You've clearly done your homework. As a first venture into electronic music, this has all the classic trappings of a trance tune. 4x4 kick, sidechain compressed pad, military snare build ups. The chord progression that first comes in around :56 is pretty interesting though you might substitute another sound for the piano to add some additional interest. To my ears, the sidechaining was a bit overdone but others may like it.
