this happens every single time Soundtoys have a promotion.. the forum ends up with tons of users trying to out-advertise each other.
its quite creepy how easily a company recruits users to do their spamming for them by dangling a shiny prize..

Just imagine what their music must be like...monotonous bass lines with over auto tuned vocals.
I think I just described chart music

As a beginner DAW it's OK, it's like a cut down version of Sonarmeldavid wrote:Cakewalk Music Creator $19.99

Is that a bargain? I'm not quite informed about this particular product.
As I remember it comes with a couple of GB's of loops/samples in wav format, that also can be used in other samplers.

Komplete 9 is out of stock on Native Instruments site and many online stores... NI recently had a sale on many of its instruments that come with Komplete... Is Komplete 10 coming?

I am not asking when it is coming, but suggesting that it is coming soon for the reason I mentioned...
If you go to the product page on NI website, it's shown as out of stock.

Regarding the -50% on Studio One Professional http://www.presonus.com/community/blog/ ... -upgrades/
I have S1 V2 Producer.
I could not find the cost of the upgrade to the Professional.
What is it?
I am in no hurry so better to:
Upgrade now to the S1 V2 Professional and when V3 comes out upgrade to V3 Professional?
Or wait for S1 V3 and then upgrade to S1 V3 Producer and immediately upgrade to the Professional?
Please make suggestions.

Upgrade prices from producer to professional are the same for version 1 and 2, I don't know what will happen when version 3 is out. Or if there will be a similar offer (50% off) during the grace period.

I will take my chances and wait for Studio One version 3 and then decide if it is worth it for me to upgrade to the Professional. They may offer an early bird price for the v3 upgrade.
I just hope the v3 comes out soon and they have implemented two of my feature requests. If so S1 will be the one and only DAW I will be using. I must add that if Cubase and Reaper add a couple of my FR they san also qualify as my one and only DAW. I know they are racing to implement my FR's.

I wouldn't count on cheap upgrades forever from Presonus.
I think they're trying to grow the user base at the moment with cheap prices and v3 will be normal.
Unless they go the Cakewalk route and offer cheap upgrades every few months but cakewalk have had decades to grow their user base

Well, if you wait six months or so they usually offer a half off upgrade price. I don't think they're going to go higher than they've gone in the past.

As an owner of Producer, I've noticed you're probably better off selling your Producer and buying Professional used. You should have very little problem getting $75 for Producer, and with patience find Professional for $140 (or less). That difference is quite a bit less than paying for the upgrade from Producer to Professional (even on sale). I've thought about doing it myself several times, but have almost no need for Pro (wouldn't use any of the features).

On eBay JRR is selling S1 v2 professional for $224
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=%2 ... _sacat=619
S1 v2 Producer sells for $199
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=%2 ... _sacat=619
So the upgrade would only cost me $25 plus about $10? commission to sell mine. total $35
wow may just do that. Please check my figures just in case missed something.
