I'm happy to announce the availability of EAReverb SE, an easy-to-use and affordable edition of EAReverb.

Here is the soundtrack (less compressed... but still compressed):

The "SE" edition features the same algorithms as EAReverb but provides a limited set of controls. It also misses the “bounce” capability and the pre-delay host sync option of its big sister.

EAReverb SE is aimed at musicians and sound designers who want to get an "earthy" (natural sounding) reverb the easy way, without having to deal with a lot of parameters.
However, the sound quality has been entirely preserved and advanced users may also enjoy the ease-of-use of this “SE” edition in some situations.
Multiple parameters of EAReverb have been combined into simpler controls.
The whole "MBS" module has been replaced by a single "Quick MBS" knob which has been thought to make the reverb "sit in the mix" in no time.

EAReverb SE is available as a 32/64-bit VST/AU plug-in for Windows and Mac OSX.
The price is €39 (RRP) and has been explicitly announced as a "fixed low price".

There is an upgrade path from EAReverb SE to EAReverb.
The price of the upgrade is the difference between the price of EAReverb and the price of EAReverb SE.

EAReverb SE is free for registered users of EAReverb who will find an EAReverb SE serial number in their eaReckon user account ;-)

Thanks again for the amazing feedback I received from some of you about EAReverb over the past few years!

All the best,
Philippe

Sounds tempting at that price !!!

Thanks Krakatau!

Here is what's written about the price on the website:

Why a "fixed low price"?
Special sales, introductory prices and promotions in general are events we usually like to watch.
However, it can be confusing to see the price of things changing every two weeks and this is why special sales are extremely rare at eaReckon.
Let's try to go further with EAReverb SE... The price is low but there is absolutly no plan to change it in the future.
If you are interested by EAReverb SE, let's hope you will not spend too much time watching for a "deal" instead of making music then ;-)

I hope all of this makes sense

Wow, Philippe, that is one heck of a trailer! Very Hollywood, that deep voice, the allusion to bad hacker movies and the great music, all very entertaining. Might buy the plugin just for that!
Also, i like the idea of a very simple to use reverb very much. Definitely gonna give this one a try!

Hey Philippe,

Thanks for the free addition for EAReverb users. I apologize for derailing the post, just wanted to know if there is any planned update for EAReverb i.e. to compete with newer reverbs (EA Phoenix, etc). There hasn't been any significant update in awhile, so I was just wondering. Thanks!

You're welcome!
... and EAReverb 1.3.0 should be released soon ;-)
A new module will be available in the 'workshop'. This one has been thought to create a "Gated Reverb" as it was obtained in the 80's. This thing should be very flexible while preserving the sonic characteristics of EAReverb.
Some other requests have been addressed as well ("Limiter vs Zero Latency" toggle switch + a "Boost" option).
Hope you will like it.

Many thanks, Fese!
Making this video has been a lot of fun.
This deep voice belongs to Charles Kahlenberg and the samples have been provided by Sonokinetic. I must admit that I'm totally amazed by this voice

Thanks Philippe - as a user of the full version it's cool to get this free.

For anyone who hasn't got EAReverb full and wants a fantastic sounding reverb for a low price, snap this up!

Thanks so much for that, I'll definitely use it! I found the serial number in my account but no setup file. Can we use the serial number to authorize the demo?

EDIT: Never mind, I got it. I had to register the serial number first.

I am really digging this reverb. If you don't like splashy highs, this is a great choice. The only other reverb I like this much is Breverb 2, which is also dark, warmish by nature, though they both have their own character and work well in a mix together.

I'll definitely being upgrading when cash allows, but I'm digging the simplicity of this introductory version. Since it simply sounds good there isn't a lot of tweaking required.

This is very generous for existing users, thanks, Philippe!

At 39€, this is a steal.

And it does make things a little easier in situations where you don't need the full tweakability.

My pleasure!
I wanted the upgrade path to be worry-free.
This is why purchasing EAReverb SE + the upgrade is not penalizing compared to purchasing EAReverb.
Offering a free license to EAReverb users is then just fair ;-)

You're welcome, Loopdon ;-)
Thanks for being one of the very early adopters of EAReverb!

Very tempting, always like eareverb when demoing before.

Is the copy protection challenge-response on this one? It doesn`t seem to say on the kvr product page at least:

Thanks 4tune!

There are two possible ways to authorize the plug-ins (EAReverb SE and all eaReckon plug-ins).

The first one is a classic Challenge/Response and it is available as soon as your serial number is registered in your user account.

The second one is based on a simple (watermarked) "key file". This file is not hardware dependent so you can be sure you will have the possibility to authorize your plug-in forever, whatever happens to eaReckon in the future.
However, access to this key file is granted after some manual checks.

Once you have a key file at your disposal, you don't have to mess with the Challenge/Response procedure anymore.

Users usually like it ;-)
You can read what Brother Charles says about it here:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 7&start=45

In the case of an eventual problem (server, ...), I have a local in-house application which can generate everything you may need to authorize the plug-ins and there is no third party things involved in the copy protection system.

Should you need more information about the purchasing process, please feel free to read the webshop FAQ (http://www.eareckon.com/eshop) or just ask me and I will be happy to reply.
