I own cubasis vst 4.0 at the moment, but i am planning to buy the steinberg studio case, with cubase SE (upgradable to cubase SX) and some synths and other vst- instruments that look good...
Convince me about this buy! Give me reasons to stop dealing with cubasis and buy cubase! ---- bleh |

It may be worth checking with your distributor to see if there is a direct upgrade path from Cubasis VST4 to SX2, even if it isn't listed on the website, they may give you a discount.

Groove Agent is really good, BUT not in the Studio Case thing
and, why do you want to 'upgrade' what else do you need to do that Cubasis doesn't offer you??? That's the question only you can probably answer (well actually there's probably loads of questions you can answer, like 1 + 1, I should have said 'that's A question only you can answer!!!!) Peter |

well... i dont feel confortable with only 4 vst instruments available for each song, and only 2 bands for the EQ on each channel. And the synths in the package are tempting me... and the interface is much more beautiful in SE. Lots of things... can you say if SE gives me that? ---- bleh |

cubasis 5.0 gives you 8 vst instruments and 4 eq thingamebobs, it's cheap and it's what I use, not that that says anything. |

yes...I think for 35 EUR. Cubasis 5 is not bad but SE is really another class of software. 16 vsti-slots, audioeditor, tempotrack, midi effects (arp) and and and... you can buy also cubase se alone without the studiocase. I say that because the vst instruments are not sooo exciting. they are more teasers for the big versions. |

Cubase SE is a whole new ball game. It's got cracking automation, even better audio editing (although SX2's is superior) and basically doesn't get in your way. Love it to bits. |
