Samp hit 10!!!!!
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

[pedantic] Strictly speaking Reason, Nanostudio and Caustic are neither “hosts” nor “DAWs”. [/pedantic]

It seems DAW and EDM both share the same curse then: people assigning their own subjective definition to generic acronyms and trying to pass it off as authoritative fact.

I use this obscure DAW called Digital Performer, from MOTU. Apparently, it is so obscure it didn't even make the list of DAWs in this poll...

Nice try.hibidy wrote:Wait, are you yankin' my chain? DP is is a VASTLY more relevant daw than some of the other choices!
You know there's just no more interesting fights going on in this thread. I was hoping to see more cat pictures by now but I guess KVR must be losing it's edge. WHERE are the FL Studio Fanboi's? I called them out on many occasions, They still haven't shown up.
I'm getting bored with a KVR poll thread, Imagine that.....

Dunno, it also seems to be in service in some cases recording live concerts at a high level for some major artists.Tronam wrote:Oh, you mean the darling DAW of the film composing world? Obscure indeed.
Of course, if it doesn't do the loopy stuff it's probably not that relevant here.
You probably won't find much country music on hip-hop websites, or find Christians pushing the great value of porn either.
Anyway, there are obviously some really great audio editors missing from the poll... Adobe Audition being one of them... being a daw... but KVR revolves around VI's so it's not that relevant here I guess.
