ok, had to right click run T3 in admin mode (i had not done that, just logged in) to get it to unlock and stay that way. XP compatibility mode finally got it to run a lot more stable. only problem is I get a bit of crackling during playback of the demo songs, but at least now I am getting playback and not a crash... any ideas? i'm using an Acer i3 1.4ghz laptop w/4GB memory, W7 and a Lexicon Alpha interface and installed their drivers... or perhaps i should start a new thread?
anyway, big thanks for your help getting this unlocked and running, M@

metamorphosis,
I will buy you a cup of coffee when you come to Minneapolis and take you to the Farmer's market for a brat! Lost the key that was generated a few years ago after getting Tracktion 3 via a Mackie mixer, then 2 computers bit the dust and Tracktion 3 was MIA for a year or two.
Thanks,
Doug

Hey no worries - don't thank me, thank some amoral hacker out there with the patience and determination to ruin someone's day rather than putting his skills to good use!
Jokes on him, he ended up helping people! Haha.

Out of curiosity, is there a comparable process for authorizing T3 on OS X? I see Sandboxie isn't available for the Mac, and I'm not sure whether the keygen would work on Mac either.
Win10 Pro 64, Clevo P750DM3, i7-7700, 32GB, nVidia GTX1060, 500GB/500GB/1TB SSD, PreSonus Quantum 2 Thunderbolt, Waveform 10

I *think* keyfiles generated on a PC (using the mac's Tracktion Machine ID etc) should work on a mac - you'd have to check.

I've just re-installed T3 (using the guide on here) on my Win 7 64 Bit PC.
All my plug ins working fine. Inc Final Mix and Mixing tools.
Had to set it to only see 2 cores of the 8 on my Win 7 64 PC, and run that compatibility check thing in Control Panel.
Down to 64 samples and flying along!
I didn't bother with a Sandbox as i had an old laptop to generate the key so no worries re Trojans as i dont use that laptop for anything sensitive.
As some possible form of insurance, i did 10 keys and saved them on a thumb drive.
If i ever need to re-install T3, would the same key work again, or would i need one of the 10 others i generated?
Is each one unique or does it just match to the machine number?
Its a joy to have Final Mix back i must say.
Click Click Wallop!
I downloaded Waves Platinum week long demo the other day.
I don't get the Waves hype.
I prefer Final Mix and the Mackie plugs, with those, a Duende, and the Kjaerhaus stuff, i'm happy enough back in 32 bit land.
Thanks for posting this info.

If it's on the same computer and OS installation, the same key should work - AFAIK.shindigger wrote: If i ever need to re-install T3, would the same key work again, or would i need one of the 10 others i generated?

Dear Metamorphosis, Hi. I was directed to your post about unlocking T3 by the tracktion 4 team - I have recently moved computers (previous one went the way of all capacitors), and cannot now unlock T3. The only problem I have is that your instructions are for unlocking T3 on a PC. I am on a Mac platform, running OS X 10.6.8 (Intel chip).
Do you have or know of any way to access the codes to unlock on a Mac?
I'd be very grateful for any help you can give.
Mant thanks for your time.
Regards, P Mason

Hi and thanks for the lead. I googled Wine and Wine Bottler - specifically for OS X. I've looked at these before - they said in the past that they work in some situations but not others. Are you saying that these would run the PC code for the sand box and the app to generate the T3 unlock code?
Best Wishes PM
