You won't be able to judge that, unless you laid hands on it yourself. All you hear here is sound examples from other people, so you can only judge the quality of the sound examples, or rather how they sound to you. Maybe they're not your thing.ridgero wrote:Doesnt sound any better than Dune 1 imo.

I guess I also have to wait and get my hands on it myself because what I have heard so far sounds a bit plasticky and sterile for my taste, maybe too many effects which makes the sound indirect.chk071 wrote:You won't be able to judge that, unless you laid hands on it yourself. Regarding the architecture, does 8 layers mean one can layer 8 different patches per voice? How would that work in terms of CPU load?

That's really cool, I wouldn't think of using Dune in that contextcytospur wrote:Seeing as most of the demo's that will be available will be somewhat contemporary, I thought I'd share my attempts at programming DUNE2 in a classical style. In all cases (bar one), these are single instances of DUNE2. Bolero is 6 instances with drums provided by Kontakt5. These sounds are my own personal patches and do not reflect the factory content.

Perhaps you should wait with forming a conclusion until you have actually played with it yourself. Or did you play with the beta? I don't recognize your name from the beta team.ridgero wrote:Doesnt sound any better than Dune 1 imo.

As the dev has now started an own thread with the releases information. Wouldn't it be best to close these other threads related to Dune 2, so discussion could be in one thread.
If Richard is to pick up feedback about the plug, I think it is easiest for him to check one thread, and not several.
