You won't be able to judge that, unless you laid hands on it yourself. All you hear here is sound examples from other people, so you can only judge the quality of the sound examples, or rather how they sound to you. Maybe they're not your thing.

I guess I also have to wait and get my hands on it myself because what I have heard so far sounds a bit plasticky and sterile for my taste, maybe too many effects which makes the sound indirect.

Regarding the architecture, does 8 layers mean one can layer 8 different patches per voice? How would that work in terms of CPU load?

Perhaps you should wait with forming a conclusion until you have actually played with it yourself. Or did you play with the beta? I don't recognize your name from the beta team.

I does look kinda Reason cartoonish to me. V1¸looked better. I guess it's built to be easily transferable to RE. Going to demo it Asap - can't wait to hear sound.

As the dev has now started an own thread with the releases information. Wouldn't it be best to close these other threads related to Dune 2, so discussion could be in one thread.

If Richard is to pick up feedback about the plug, I think it is easiest for him to check one thread, and not several.
