ok yes: was a bit disappointed none of them seem to have
the parameter scene memory you get with electribes

nb: ER1 does have 'parameter memories': it stores
all the parameter positions with each pattern, effectively giving
you a preset per pattern. the ER1 is an odd machine..not sure
what to think of it. you can tone it down and try to make it
sound like a analog - it's just a shame there's no option on it for
more outputs - and the sound isn't as crisp as you'd like, maybe.
(so will be interesting to se how they run together)
really powerful thing though, some of the demos are... offputting?
they've done 'everything'..it is a bit depressing but you can overwrite
evrything and there's 4 banks of user pattern space, plus it is a chaselight
MIDI drum programmer.

The built-in sounds are pretty cool, but kind of limited. Two of the tracks don't even make any sound, they are for inputting external sounds, so to get the most out of it connect a MIDI drum machine and use the excellent sequencer, and you can combine the sounds of both drum machines or use whichever you want.

yes definitely as a x0x/chaselight sequencer- it can only send out on
one MIDI Ch, tho'...tr-626 can send out across all 16 ( although the
basic velocity of unaccented hits seems a bit low, needs accent to
hit correct velocity.(would like to find a solution to this).

think i prefer the ES1mkII which has the same sequencer but loads
samples (sadly they omitted 'decay'/length as a parameter, you have
to copy the sample and trim the copy to have different decay.)

thing is, the volca bass filter already rrrrips, you can squeeze it
into some thin slice of frequency and mess with that.

good that he has got at the VCA inputs.

midi out has to be a must (that's a good sequencer on the Bass)
you can have inidv VCO outs(so they could be x-modded and sent
back into a filter input, but the LFO does a good job already)
