Hello Burillo,

We hope so too.

But it is very complicated in the States, without going into detail, there are a lot of traps in the insurance.

It is a minefield.......

Without going as far as prying (and hopefully not being rude), does anyone know how Bernie's doing?

I'm still impressed by 1) how much the online music community was able to raise to help out Bernie and 2) Don't Crac[k] for facilitating the fund raising campaign.

Anyway, any idea on how he's doing?

Bernie: keep on keepin' on!

Hello brotherjake,

We are really happy you asked, because it is great news.

Bernie is back home and for a while he had to wear a back brace to help him get better (some of his veterbrates have been fused in his treatment) but that did not prevent him from getting right back on the job.

His doctors are following his progress and he is getting better every day and the back brace is off now.

Like you we were impressed by the response of the Audio Community for Bernie and you all can give yourselves a pat on the back for generosity you showed towards him. It really made a difference.

My very best regards on behalf of the DontCrack Team,

Nick

I don't want to be disrespectful - but could we maybe get an update on "Nomad Factory" in general?

The last thing that I've heard about them, was "MAGMA" and/or COSMOS and mainly their work on your (Don'tCrack) VIP single plugin series. Nothing else... new new NF Plugins as "stand alones", no new emulations... just the VIP Modules.

I recently sent in a bug report to NF, since i seem to have found a bug within selected plugins in the Integral Studio Bundle (actually, not the first time that I ran into some) - so far not even a short answer like "thanks for the mail, we'll take a closer look" (sent the report it in on 22nd July). Which makes me a little bit worried. Also considering the C/R activation system. I pretty much use NF Plugins up and down over here.

And I'd love to hear if Nomad Factory has even something new up their sleeve for us ISP3 users. Doesn't necessarily be a new plugin.

Cancer is a very evil thing - so it's good to hear that Bernie's doing better. But surely NF isn't ran from one person alone? It would be devastating to see another developer on the "recently deceased" list that seems to be rapidly growing as of late.

Thanks for the info.

Sadly, yes. The f*ck is going on as of late?!

I really only hope, that the following statement stays true - and that NF is in good hands with Nick and his fellows. I don't really want to see NF drop off the planet. Brit-NEQ1972 (I use it daily!), ALL-TECH9063B and E-Gate Expander (sometimes even the Pultec, and the Echoplex clone) are still the most used plugins out of the whole ISP bundle on my end:
As part of his legacy, Bernie left tons of ideas and concepts for the future of the Nomad Factory company. He made sure the developers are well trained to keep-up with the brand’s development; assuring the continuing quality and integrity of upcoming products. We are proud to announce that our partner has left us with many new Nomad products that are almost ready to launch!

This... is sad... He also wasn't older than 60.
My condolences.
