the clips thingy only exports midi notes, anyone know a way to port a clip to another songfile _with_ the automation?

took a few hours, got sorted this time :) doing "very complex" expressive automation atm way beyond simple filter sweeps, think some of my instruments have six automated params, i spend half a day coming up with 8 bars for one voice..

There is a way IF the automation corresponds to midi controller parameters

Set the track output to midi out ( also disconnect midi in to prevent a loop ) - and record to another track set to use midi in ( you will probably need a virtual midi port like midiyoke to do this)

The new track will include the automation as midi controllers rather than midi envelope data

midi controllers DO get saved with the clip
