After Life the movie was crap. If you want to see something good, try searching for Afterlife the British TV series. It was where I was introduced to Andrew Lincoln (from Walking Dead). In fact, when I told my friend he was British, she didn't believe me. Then she watched it and was hooked.

Philomena. Recommended.

The second "X-Files" movie. Just as much of a mixed-up muddled mishmosh as the first movie and much of the series. Who told Chris Carter it was a good idea to try to create a story arc in that series in the first place? The standalone episodes are the best ones.

I didn't like that one at all, and I barely liked the first one.

No, sorry D.H. There's another one called After Life that's American that has Christina Ricci in it. Avoid at all costs. I've heard about that one (and nothing but good things)

"Banshee Chapter" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2011276/?ref_=nv_sr_2 - fun bit of horror fluff. MK ULTRA, numbers stations, Lovecraftian extra-dimensional entities and Ted Levine playing a Hunter S. Thompson-esque role. Creepy but contrived, entirely marred by that ubiquitous and in this case unnecessary hand-held camera bullshit.

The Purge. Which I liked, but was very disturbing. But I think it was meant to be. It is a scathing indictment on the state of violence in America. Smart. Well acted. I get it.

Yay, a longtime fave of mine.

Have you seen Departures (I linked to it a few days ago)?

Maybe I'm being very lazy here (both japanese films about death (and ultimately life)) but kind of in the same ballpark.

Not yet, but I've now requested it from the library, so I'll see it sometime soon.

Tonight: Ginger Snaps 2: Unleashed.

In Living Color episode. I prefer to just listen to it as I can't stand sitting here staring at the screen.
