jrrshop is one place that i would recommend keeping in your sights. always has amazing deals, and the owner (uncle e on kvr) is a real 'top' guy i can understand you got a little nervous, but maybe just contact eric through the shop. i am sure he will be very happy to help you outmagickz wrote:At least you can register, that's already much more than I got from JRR.
Their website tells me : "License - Please register at http://tinyurl.com/jrrxils : This license needs to be manually generated. You will be contacted immediately when it becomes available." For me it is not clear at all, who will generate the licence? Xils? Or did you get it from JRR? Will I need to wait for the second step before I can make the first step in this instruction?
I just asked them to refund my purchase. Maybe that will help them to rethink the user experience in their shop For now, it was my first and last buy in this particular shop.
Poly KB II?

ah ok. thanks for that. not currently using a daw, so maybe at the point i reinstall logic, the beta will be ready. if not, it seems like the new bug fixes are not osx showstoppers
thanks again

Hi every body,
The polykb II player is compatible with OSX and the installer can be download there :
http://www.xils-lab.com/pages/PKIIplaye ... aller.html
(for mac, only the 2.1.2 version is available. On windows the 2.1.4 is only fixing a authorisation bug in windows 7/8)
We will update our site soon to make it cleared (it needs it, but time is running too fast for us !)
When purchased through an external reseller, you need to redeem your code on the following webpage (which is registering automatically your product)
http://www.xils-lab.com/pages/Redeem-Resale-Code.html
Best regards
Xavier

use the coupon code "group" for a discount at JJR shop plus there are about 100 presets that use to be available free in the forum at xils lab that have a link to a file missing page. If someone can track that person down and get him to upload those presets here I bet we would all appreciate that. His forum alias at the xils lab forum is synthoid but others who were on that forum may have downloaded it as well so if anyone snagged these presets please send me a copy.

Thank you for your feedback, Ingo, Xavier and el-bo.
ow, now I also find the player in my Computer Music vault. Is this similar to that one that I purchased (20 hours later I am still waiting for the delivery of a "redeem code") from JRR? Anyway, I'll try it another weekend. Unfortunately I only have the weekends for such "experiments".
One thing is sure: it seems not to be too easy to get such a plugin and to register it, just for evaluation purposes - compared to other products that I purchased online in the past. Of course I can imagine that this is not intended - neither by the developer nor by the reseller -, but I hope for the developer that these difficulties that el-bo and I experience right now are not a hurdle for too many other potential users that prevents them from trying their products. For my case, I will try to be more patient.
Good luck to everybody, and a great Sunday!

I want to report, that it finally worked fine. Though I had to wait some days before I had the opportunity to try it again. I guess I like this sound and consider to upgrade to the full version.
Xils 4 demos also look and sound very promising to me... I will want to have a closer look at it, after I got to know my new little friends, the Casio CZ-5000 born in 1985, and the MicroBrute, that must be still waiting for me in the post office

Xils 4 is a beast of an analog modular synthesizer. I discover new sources of inspiration everyday with it, from the most experimental sounds to the exquisite analog bread and butter ones.
I played a CZ 5000 a few years ago, and I was really pleased by the punch of some of the sounds. Only thing -iirc-, the KB doesnt have velocity, but the sound themselves have velocity parmaeters when controlled by an external midi device. Anyway, Cazio PM synthesis was really good.
