We have hundreds of Rhythm Wolves on order. Our Akai rep was pretty excited about the order. I doubt he would have been that excited if he'd thought it was a hoax.

I like that it's got separate pads for the step sequencer and individual drums.

Pros of the Rhythm Wolf over its actual competitors include MIDI I/O, USB MIDI, Trigger I/O's, and full size knobs. If a computer musician wants to bring some analog to live sets, this is a neat, easy to set up, and highly tweakable way to do it.
