Yes, its free when you buy the System-1. I guess future plug outs will cost whatever.ZenPunkHippy wrote:"Not available to purchase - use coupon provided with System 1"

I was thinking "why isn't available for regular users to purchase" but that would completely destroy any sense of exclusivity for potential System 1 owners
Interested to see how open the architecture is, though. Can the hardware side load any VST synth? Or is it limited to some proprietary format. Open would be good ...
Peace,
Andy.

This post on Synthopia included a video demo:

... didn't sound incredibly inspiring to me, but it's obviously not the same as using it in person.

I think thats just the System-1 engine, not the plug out.

I agree wholeheartedly... If Roland wants my money, they had better not make me buy a giant dongle-controller for their software. Regardless as to it's quality, I simply do not have the room for it.ZenPunkHippy wrote:I was thinking "why isn't available for regular users to purchase" but that would completely destroy any sense of exclusivity for potential System 1 owners

They had better have something damn good or it's going to be a bloodbath on the forums.Roland's Website wrote:...all with a level of authenticity that could only come from the company that created the original.

Im going to try it out in a shop, but pretty sure i wont buy it, as im trying to avoid using the computer. I guess i can load plug outs into the System-1, but even so....

After about 20 seconds James Brown would comment, "Take it to the bridge!"ZenPunkHippy wrote: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k05e43dlIdA
And then the fella at the hotel bar would add, "Can you play misty on that thing?"
