So far this year i've read 2 books.

Halo: Fall of Reach
Dune

and right now I'm reading Halo: The Flood.

My next book is going to be Zen and the art of riding motorcycles. Got some good sci fi in and now I am needing some philosophy.

Anybody know of any sad endings sci fi books?

I very much enjoyed Hoban's "Riddley Walker", a post-apocalyptic story in which Hoban gets to play with language quite a bit.

Riddley Walker was the first Hoban I read. Wonderful book.

Kleinzeit and Turtle Diary are excellent too.
