Could have been addressed in here:

Then again, answers my Q if WL8.0.4 was abandonned.
And funny enough, if the support doesn't answer, the developer does if you bark up his tree loud enough.

But thanks for the information.

Oh and...
WL8.5 demo needs a registration at Steinberg.net and an Elicenser Key, to those who are interested.

Also a big :tu: for a demo with only a 1 month and 3 day delay

He is only reacting to a key stimulus.

Don't like it, don't read it. Or report me to the mods that I'm delusional (you got my PM, you obviously read it, still you step in and try to shut me up) - like it happened last time, who then abused their powers to put people like you at ease.

Whatever floats your boat.
Have a nice day.

No, I only marked it as read. Frankly, I don't like to exchange personal messages with people that consider that the victims of the Holocaust were just war casualties, that Germany had the right to invade Poland and that that Hitler was pushed into the war by the Allies:

And I don't honestly need the sh*t from people like you. My private PM merely cleared that I was not spreading lies or talking BS on the topic "Steinberg", as you insisted in pretty much all other Steinberg threads prior. But... you didn't even care to read it.

Thankfully, somebody else reported your OT and defamatory, false image spreading subtone (misquoted even!).

Have a nice day.

here we go again , time to not open any steinberg posts anymore as they ends up like this

Compy and I have had disagreements about Steinberg threads and their content, but I really can't see what he did to deserve the response here.

I guess that there is some justice in someone who endlessly bombarded threads with their opinions about something now finding no-one wants to listen, but I am afraid "Cut the crap Compy" doesn't seem particularly just to me.

Another day at K-V-R I guess
I believe every thread should devolve into character attacks and witch-burning. It really helps the discussion.

Post

Must be due to the fact that GN didn't answer the question with the "where is 8.0.4" in the other thread, where I also critisized the lack of a demo and once more the "pay for bugfix" route.

If the rep would have then said, or said right from the start "the regular (final) maintenance update is postponed by 2-5 days, please be patient"... all would have been fine. Apparently my Qs were then finally answered over at the official boards. With the usual "not our fault" manner, but still it was. Though even here, an info right from the start would have reduced the angered posts.

Steinberg has a clear communication problem. That is nothing new, and won't change either.
In here, it seems to be definitely personal to the KVRians.

Kudos to those that get it.

Just a question, but when you don't get an update for your MP3 player, or smart phone, or have issues with these, do you also complain about the communication problem of the respective manufacturer? Of when your vacuum cleaner doesn't have function XY, or doesn't work as you would like it to work. Maybe because your carpet isn't well suited for its function.

Post

Oh... the "car comparison" - man did I wait for this! Took the users a while to jump on that bandwagon again.

Other than "I contact the support if something doesn't work and tried everything I could" - if the support is none responsive or constantly says "it's not our fault"; even if you can prove that it's definitely not yours either... then there is a problem. Especially if you paid a hefty price, can't work as advertised and it's always the fault by another party that didn't stick to "standards", if the creators of these standards don't do so in the first place.

The comparison with a vac and a carpet doesn't work here. Sorry.

Other than that - not going into that any further.

Ok, enough now. Please behave like adults and lets all bitch about something that really matters: Yearly releases and only a year of updates.
