got a hunch and will depend in factory of production, cost could be a stinger. Regardless nice to see some homegrown in development...

Paul Maddox speaking at Synth Geek Night. He doesn't reveal the synth but goes into the backstory of forming the company and some of the design decisions.

I watched this a while ago. If I recall correctly, it will have digital oscillators with analog filters. It will be high quality parts and, therefore, expensive.

Any competition that is brought to the table can only be a good thing, imho. I think that the Mutable Instruments Ambika sounds pretty good, as far as hybrids go (and you can always find someone to build it for you), but I dislike the interface. I really hope they make a more hands-on version similar to the Shruti XT at least.
Regardless, I agree that we need more analog/hybrid choices!

Yeah, I think Korg is the most likely contender considering their track record. Perhaps (hopefully) they were testing the waters with the Volca Keys, similar to how we saw the Monotron and Monotribe before the MS-20.ghettosynth wrote:I really would like to see Korg take the plunge. I think that Yamaha is a lost cause and, as much as I think that a Moog would be cool, I'm not sure that I would find it to be what I wanted.eXode wrote:+1ghettosynth wrote:...but I would like to see more choices in the poly market again.

A couple of new sound examples are available.
This one is quite harsh when he opens the filter: http://www.modulus.me/Acid_Jam.mp3 Ouch.
I think my fascination with this synth is over.

That's cheaper than I thought it would be. The M12 retailed at $6400 in 1985.Kriminal wrote:3k.... no thanks.
