Good tips for layering background sounds?

Is there is any good techniques for layering background sounds?

i'v made a track and it sounds like i need to put some more sounds to it.

any one know some techniques? :D

There's lots of generic FX sample packs about try the ones from vengeance. Just pop 'em in where you think they'll fit best, to push them back further experiment with long reverbs and delays

Also you can't beat a simple LP filter with a 6 dB/oct slope to push things back in the mix.
