I heard Iggy Azalea's song "Fancy" and I really liked the bass pluck. How's it made?

Which synthesizers do you use mainly?
:D

Try a low saw wave with a fast attack and decay, and some low pass filtering.

EDIT: Gave it a quick try on my lunch break and got very close. Just do what I said, and put a downward sloping envelope on the LP filter and you'll be almost there.

Thomni, I use mainly massive and the logic synthesizers.

Alright UKN, here's what I knocked out in about 10 minutes in ES2.

If you add a transient designer, some EQ, and reverb it will get you closer than just the patch. You might also want to adjust the distortion to taste.

Thanks so much Thomni!

It sounds like a real analog synth, I bet you could get it with the Moog lil phatty easily.

The answer of cake builder is accurate for me low pass filtering with quick enveloppe. I put would put a saw + square.

But an important thing for me is the reverb! Without it the sound won't sound as big. Decay time 1.2s, 30%wet, works great for me.

Ahh, but how easily can he get a moog? :D

Glad I could get you started with that patch UKN.

Can you really define the sounding like a REAL ANALOG synth? Hardware vs virtual war starting here?

YummyBeats.com had a remake of Iggy Azalea's "Fancy" bass.

Here's what it sounds like. Not perfect but pretty close.

Hope that helps.

lmfao....... I love seeing the comments on how it's gotta be a moog. Because I know 100% EXACTLY what it is.... and it's not analog at all.

It's a preset in Image Line's VSTi Harmor. It's called "Analog Bass 2". It comes with Harmor, so if you have that vst, open up the preset, tinker around with it, and dissect it yourself.

Obviously though, whoever made the beat for that song did not do ANY sound design lol.. And once again, it is NOT actually analog lmfao
