The first audio demo on the page was done using only sounds from the library, no additional FX or processing except for a light mastering on the mix. What you hear is what you get :D

Some additional infos about the hi hats used:

23 original hi-hats were selected for the creation of this collection. You will find highly sought-after hand-made hi-hats (Zildjian Avedis 14", Istanbul 13", Bosphorus 14"), modern studio favorites (Zildjian quickbeat 13", K custom 14", Paiste Traditionnal 14") as well as unconventional-sounding hi-hats (Zildjian gen AE effect hi-hats, stacked hi-hats, hybrid models, lo-fi hats, miniature hi-hats...)

Thanks for asking!
The Kontakt patches are set up to work with keyboards or pads: the various 'articulations' are set up on different keys. Here from the user manual:

ALL SINGLE Hi HAT PATCHES FOLLOW THE SAME KEYBOARD LAYOUT:
• C2: stick (closed hi-hat)
• C#2: open hi-hat (played with the stick)
• D2: Half-open (loose)
• D#2: foot (closed with the foot)
In addition, the mutlimic hihats (patches 01 to 08) have an extra articulation on E2 (‘splash’: cymbals hit together with the foot)

There might be a way to reassign these for your e drums, not sure about this, but I bet it would be fun to play these hats with a midi hi hat controller :D
