I'd say PT extended with all the nice modern bits of Tracktion 5's functionality (with ARA, plus Racks amped up to Bidule/Usine level), and a better-than-Live level of MAX/MSP integration (ie extended to include Reaper's level of operational scripting, and Usine's performance controls.)

u can drop it to your host DAW as VSTi and can u its piano-roll(after some routing) so it's nice and handy

The only reason I started this thread was to gather market data and study the current state-of-the-art of DAWs for my dastardly future plans...

But information such as "I use DAW X, but I really wish it could do Y like DAW Z does it" is highly useful information to the developer of DAW X, so certainly other developers could find this info useful for making their products better too...

No, I didn't know you are a developer. Helps to know the background of why you posed the question(s). Can we follow your development efforts somewhere?

If you could combine the best parts of any existing DAWs into the ultimate DAW...
