Is there such a beast as a 12-tone row note generator for Cubase?
I don't need a synth. All I want was some sort of gizmo that randomly generates 12 unique pitches as MIDI events on a Cubase track.
The only point is to try things out. Yes, I could type these in myself, but I figure it would be faster if there was a generator so I could listen and then decide which I like better.
Any ideas?
TIA

I don't know of a tonerow generator for Cubase specifically. What I use is THIS.
I then either print the matrix out or copy the primary row into Cubase notepad for easy reference.

In Cubase you can use MIDI plugins as inserts on MIDI tracks, and there is a step sequencer included which has a random function. There is even another MIDI plugin, don't remember the name, you can use to force the random output to any given key and scale. Very cool!
EDIT: just noticed that it doesn't generate 12 unique tone sequences, just random, so notes can appear multiple times. Still a good tool...
