Thanks!

The VCS3 filter of the simulation has less distortions than the original which are very clipped to avoid to use an oversampling factor upper than 4 but it's still great to do sounding with a lot of amount of resonance.
And also the new loop mode of the envelopes is similar of VCS3, it will be more easy to adapt any VCS3 patches.

Holy Crap!!!!

I NEVER for a second meant to suggest that Xavier was putting out malicious crap. I KNOW he wouldn't do that... just a message to see what's what in case anyone else might have had the same problem.

VERY VERY SORRY Xavier - I've been a big fan for ages. I knew it was a Chrome's problem.

...and I tried to get the file now and it worked fine. It was unusual since it's the first time ever that Chrome would not allow a download like this. I don't use AV - only Spybot, Malware Malbytes and Windows firewall - no infections for at least 4 years (just stay off the porn and crack sites guys ;) ) ... and vst downloads have an impeccable record of being cleanliness for me.

I was too lazy to type, so I guess next time I should elaborate before scaring anyone like that :)

hi Debutante,

No problem!
I prefer that the users prevent me even if this kind of posts are negative for me.

This day I posted on the French Google forum but I believe that will be hard for me to solve that quickly, Google is too big...
It's what I said about the AV and other things for paranoiac.
I cannot lose my time to justify my work.
Now I do not like the web because it's the jungle of stupidity and the softwares are too idiot proof !

Hi,

I updated the text about the Chrome bug in the first post...

I found a Gui bug with the wrapper of Cubase 6 LE 64 bit:
If you initialize a session with 2 or more instances of the same SE plug-in, the Gui appears confused and you must close and reopen the Gui editor to have a correct Gui.
So to avoid this bug, you will must close the Gui editors, just to see only one before to close your session.

Tested with SE 1.1 and 1.2 plug-ins.
I tested also with another config before and I did not see that so I will test with another config again.

*********
Also I tested the last 32 bit Presonus One 2.6.3 and all seems fine.

hi,

Good news:
The blocking of download of setup.exe is solved, you can download them without false alerts.
Thanks to the Google Chrome forum teams and to Debutante to prevent me about this Google Chrome bug.

happy end!

This thread’s on page three after only a week?
If it wasn’t for the bumps Chrome earned it, it might have disappeared without trace.
And, d’you know, for one whole day last week, all four of these synths were ranked in the top 30 here at KVR.
Where they should always be!
I honestly don’t understand why at least one of these synths isn’t in everybody’s top 10.
Two of them are in my top 2!

And Kx-Modulad version 3?
I wonder how many of this year’s DC entries will still be getting updates in 2021.
To think – this didn’t even win in ’07!

Thank you for these, Monsieur Kalensky. You have the soul of a true artist.

KVR can be odd as far as opinions, I would say these blow Synth1 or Oatmeal way, way out of the water.

I've got to agree these are very underrated; the first thing I remember thinking when trying them was "Whoa, these are the work of someone who isn't satisfied with 'kinda maybe sounds like analog', this man does his homework!"

Maybe people forget that just because Xavier likes Klaus Schulze etc. doesn't mean that his synths can only be good for that type of music; maybe not the first choice for supasawz-n-skrillex right out of the box, but I'll take the greater flexibility the KX family affords me-
the most complex recipe in the world counts for nothing if cheap ingredients are the starting point, and Xavier never tries to put Cool Whip in front of you and insist it's just as good as real whipped cream.

Also, there has yet to be an OSC with one these.. I can hear the 64-bit-only crowd protesting already, but just as Swierk happily surprised some folks with what it could do, I think there'd be a similar effect were a KX-synth to (finally) get the nod..

I've been singing The Ballad of Xavier from the beginning. SE is a real downer for people. I hope the program gets the 64 bit treatment out of testing

If you ever feel like making a mac version, I really liked the CSE when I tried it a year or so ago. Nice filter.

This is the first I have heard of these synths. I have just downloaded Kx-Synth-x16 and I must say, in my opinion, it is not very good........

It is VERY, VERY good!!! :tu:

Downloading the rest now and will give them a shot too. What a wonderful thing to have these for free!! Thank you Xavier. Another big thumbs up :tu:

Hi all,

Thanks for your comments.

You know the plug-ins world is not my dream, I can only share my work inside SE vsts.

Actually there a lot of things that I do not really approve but I must follow the SE development because I have not the time to develop complex plug-ins in native VST.

And because I do not sell something I can say and do what I want.

In fact this is the end users who kill SE because :
- at the first time the majority said: SE vsts are crappy.
- they wanted the multiprocessor and Midi learn support, Jeff done that.
- Some devs like me proved that we can do professional VST with SE but finally it appeared the 64 bit and the mac compatibility...
- SE is pirated and cheap price and Jeff cannot win really money with only its SE work and finally it's very difficult for him to work regularly on SE specially now.
- Because a lot of SE devs want to be "professional" without make c++ hand coding, they persuaded
Jeff to work on the Mac compatibility and the 64 bit development of SE was delayed of 3 years.
The SE community is complex and rich and it's not easy for Jeff to satisfy all.

64 bit:
I'm ready since one year ago to build the Kx-PolyM-CSE in 64 bit but the actual SE 64 bit is an alpha with poor options for the GUI. But I trust of the Jeff's work and I hope that SE 64 bit will be finish in the next year...

So my four last plug-ins work really fine with jBridge and I think that it's better to use my VST with it because they use less CPU and they have a really good ratio between CPU and quality than some others native 64 bit pay-ware vsts !
The unique problem is the jBridge is a shareware but its price is very cheap (20$) and I believe that it's a really good deal for the 64 bit users to use my plug-ins with only paying 20$!

So because I'm probably mad and I do not want to put in the trash all my work, I will continuous but now I expect nothing of the end users, my universe is the Electronic Music not the MAO.
The majority of MAO users will be never satisfy, never happy, only want all for no effort.
But I know that some people appreciate my work and for them I will continuous to share my instruments.

Very well said, and that would be a sticky post for all the eternal SynthEdit complainers.

If I called that an understatement, I'd be accused of understatement.

I think the whole SE thing is a bit of an unnecessary distraction.
You've clearly gone the extra mile to make sure your instruments are usable in 64 bit environments.
And Mac export might be important if you were trying to make a living selling these things, but as it is - well, we all make choices. No doubt I'm missing out on lots of AU or Mac-only plugs and applications, and all those Reaktor 'freebies' are no use to anyone who isn't prepared to shell out rather more than $20 on the program that runs them.

My real concern is that those of us who do appreciate your work don't talk about it enough - so many more who would love them never get to know they exist.
I well remember the seismic storm (is that even a thing?) the Elektrostudio plugs caused when they first emerged back in '09. Yet with ODsay currently getting it's month in the limelight, it's clear that even many seasoned OSCers had never heard of them.
The most common reaction on discovering the KX synths seems to be, 'Where have you been all my life!' Buried under a deluge of over-hyped mediocrities, is the sad truth.
We can only counter that by making a little more noise of our own.
I promise I'll try and do my bit.
Anyone with me?
