Spitfire has made a statement regarding mic-positions advertised on their website but not delivered to customers who purchased their products:
Hi chaps,

We've spent the best part of 2 months adding / tweaking the programming behind the site, update system etc. I know its gone way over planned dates.. Our apologies for that..

I can say that the big red button is now finally almost complete and the updates are going to resume.

We just wanted to make it more resistant to ISP problems, and try to simplify the process as much as possible. A lot of whats been done won't be immediately apparent, but you will see a few differences. Most of the hard work has gone into coding.

We'll be rolling everything out over the next few weeks, I suspect we'll start on Friday but it may be Monday. We'll update this post later in the week with more info.

What we have in place now is an incredibly elegant and future proof system that makes it a lot easier for us to issue the updates seamlessly, while unifying the update system and the main product system.

Christian said to me earlier, we have now joined that small group of people who, upon hearing of a new Government e-system that has gone 4.5 billion over budget, instead of reacting with shock and horror, simply nod at each other and say "yes, I see how that can happen".
