One man's "lame" is another man's "whoa" - I admit I didn't like that specific demo of that sound and that it is not a representation of even the less-used category of a larger group of very good and usable sounds of which it most certainly isn't representative for sure (as also noted by the creator of that demo).
But really that first part is an excuse to do a "whoa" without invoking Joey Lawrence

The basses are getting a lot of compliments, I quite like this one:

I have been removing the "Acoustic Resonance" effect from pretty much everything--especially when I am creating multis; it is the largest cpu offender in Studio One.Bombadil wrote:The 3 Filtrex multis all show the same error message.
The Steel/Nylon multi gives my CPU fits (i7 Quad-core). I've confirmed it is the 'resonance' effect.

Can we really assume "Marvin" is a boy? He sounds like a suspicious robot to me

Someone with a lot of bandwidth wanna try this piano as see if it works correctly? 400 meg download. Can't seem to get multi-velocities in ST3 so imported from ST2. Every note sampled, 4 velocity layer Baldwin.

PM me here (or better on the IK forum) if you have an specific details you'd like to share about your problem with getting multivelo to work in ST3. Probably can't get the ear of the project manager tonight, but I'll do what I can to get you some help unless you need to just bang at it for a little longer. I know sometimes I like to take that approach so I can learn some other things along the way. Your choice, though, drop me a line if you want.bigcat1969 wrote:Someone with a lot of bandwidth wanna try this piano as see if it works correctly? 400 meg download. In English, please? I posted another example with 'Marvin.' The Gospel choir isn't the issue as far as I can tell. It is the pop vocal soloists. Everyone of them in my set up, at least, sounds not a lot better, if not the same, or worse than the examples I posted. Try 'Paul.' It is abysmal.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:One man's "lame" is another man's "whoa" - I admit I didn't like that specific demo of that sound and that it is not a representation of even the less-used category of a larger group of very good and usable sounds of which it most certainly isn't representative for sure (as also noted by the creator of that demo).

The pop ensembles are quite decent. It is the soloists that blow.

Your soulution worked Peter although I still can't convert SonikSynth. See my other post with screenshot.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:That should be related to boost::filesystem::remove not boost::filesystem::create_directories from what I've seen here. A good suggestion anyway, so people don't run into the other issue though.lobanov wrote: It's an error of disk reading/writing, nothing serious. Disable your antivirus software when importing and restart importing. It worked here.

Here is the Pop Ensemble with some reverb from Logic. Definitely an improvement over the solo voices.

Thanks for the hint. Maybe it's the instrument in the screenshot I posted. But it doesn't give the full name but maybe it's in the "/I Elements B/G Groove Elements/130bpm " ballpark ?bigcat1969 wrote:Oddly you have to delete one file in Sonik Synth and then it works... Sadly I already deleted it so i don't know which one it is.

Kraznet, I previously noted there is a scroll bar at the bottom of the error window to see the full file name.
It is the one noted by bigcat1969
Rather than delete, because it may be needed at some time, I moved it from my folder, did the import and then moved it back to the original location.
