Anyone got one of these? I'm kinda' tempted.
From the demos it sounds pretty good. I like the idea of it being able to play some of the old Roland synths down the line.
Thoughts?
Thanks in advance!

Take a peek over at GS.
Massive thread there. They seem to like it (which is rare).

I'd just like to say that I had no idea what "GS" was, and if it hadn't been for the link posted after, I would never have found it.Mushy Mushy wrote:Take a peek over at GS.

I haven't actually played one... only listened to demos...
as for the SH-101 audio demos, it did not sound better to me than the emulations already available (Lush and Tal)
the System 1 is VST3 and AU... so if for example, you use Live on a PC, it will not be compatible. Same for Bitwig on Mac or PC, and same for other PC hosts that are not VST3 compatible yet.
System-1 hardware... the keyboard does not have velocity... which kills it as a general controller for me...
Why only 8 presets??
I really like the plug-out concept cause it gives the option of being computer free... I'm not excited with this iteration of it though... Maybe in the future with System-2 with more controls, more keys (25 just aint enough for me), and velocity and AT... and 16 button step sequencer included... and that works well as a general midi controller too... then I would be enticed because it would be more of a multi-purpose hub. As is, I'd rather just get a real analog monosynth...

Lush is a beast! And I really like the TAL, but after I bought it, I thought it was a little light in the lower bass, compared to the original hardware.pdxindy wrote:I haven't actually played one... only listened to demos...

Interestingly, my mate’s arrived on monday, and he says it has a big thump to it. He’s got a decent monitor set up, which you can’t really hear on YT unfortunately.
No worries. I ordered mine earlier today! . So, I’ll put a few tests up on my sound cloud.Mushy Mushy wrote:NPRobmobius wrote:Cheers again matey!

Fingers crossed it lives up to the hype.
