I thought he was talking about the controller itself lacking velocity.

That said, one big diff between early poly ana synths, and slightly later ones, was the addition of velocity which made a lot of stuffy old fashioned classic patches much more musical to play.

Even old minimoog or arp odyssey would have been a heck of a lot more sonically flexible with the addition of (optional) velocity sensitivity. Just seems taking retro to absurd levels.

It would be like programming a physical model of a wurlie piano so realistically that it goes out of tune when you hit the keys too hard, and then shortly after goes thunk and breaks the weakened virtual reeds. Then you would have to use a virtual screwdriver to disassemble the virtual piano and replace the virtual reeds before the plugin would work properly again. After a certain point, slavish realism gets silly. :)

That would be something, a plugin that goes out of tune so bad that you have to re-tune it between every song, and sometimes in the middle of songs. The ultimate in realism!!!

Of course if they ever reissue the memory moog as a VA then they will have to include the auto-drift feature. Otherwise no one would be convinced of its authenticity compared to the original. :)

Don't forget the variable delay in the midi timing.

On Windows, the SH101 plugin is VST3 only so it won't run in Ableton. Oopsie. :clown:

I'd never use it as a vst, so no loss. (Less point in cracking it too)

You'd also need a built-in smoke generator to simulate the power supply. :D
