chipcrusher covers a few casiotones and portatones. I have plenty more yet un-IR'ed
Cool beans, will have to check it out. Bidule is on my "Must Buy" list.

AFAIK - the Audiomatic Retro Transformer effect in Propellerheads' Reason has effects based on IRs from VCRs, cassette decks, and other goodies. I dig it.

Totally OT - anyone interested in an '80s immersion vibe should read or listen to Ernest Cline's "Ready Player One".

Preparing impulses is a tedious time consuming job.
For one impulse you need to buy or loan a device, but since it often needs modification/soldering:

A loan is often out of the question :)

My goal with chipcrusher was to add a lofi effect where the impulses are just a bonus.
If i add much more impulses to it, then it would make sense to raise the price as well, which is something I'm not sure I want to do.... adding a few more however ....

Great links! It's really impressive to see the level of care and craft that was put in to the existing impulses on chipcrusher. I guess I never thought about how you need to basically dismantle the device to get the correct response. I appreciate them all the much more, I assure you that.
A heaping dose of outrageously goofy synth tracks, scores and chiptunes.
