VST closest to Virus A/B?

I really don't think there is any audible difference in waveforms beyond 24 bit, and depending on what you are doing with it, 16 bit is enough most of the time.

The noise floor on 24 bit is plenty low enough. From what I understand, the noise floor on 32 bit is identical to 24 bit, but 32 bit does not clip at 0db. So for normal waveforms that are recorded at non-clipping levels (i.e. all of them), 24 bit is identical to 32 bit. 24 bit also has a much lower noise floor than analog equipment. (I believe even 16 bit should have a lower noise floor than tape). I think 32/64 bit compatibility is nice for compatibility and convenience reasons though.

Wow am I glad I never saw that thread way back then. The demos sound great. I've been wanting essentially a virus in software form for a while and trying to find the closest thing but I still don't think anything in software is quite close enough.planetearth wrote:Erm...are you sure? Steve
Least post with demos was just in July indicating that a demo would be available soon, so let's hope!

Hello. Read the title of the topic and could not pass. Guys !! Tell me you have a virus?) If there is, I think you know that the virus is not only super ... Super Saw Saw is generally not a feature of the virus!) Virus is loved for its unique character ... which is still unfortunately no one soft synth did not bother to generate. I'll post some demos which are more than three years (these demos I wrote when bought my VIRUS C). In the demo, you will hear the presets that I was able to create a virus (it would be interesting to see if at least one soft synth to convey the same character). Virus generates really good bass and has a good push.

Maybe Spire. I'm not sure if the developers had something to do with Cell in the past but Spire goes in this direction has also Virus TI emulated filter.

Perhaps Spire similar filters for the virus. But it sounds different. Try to create sounds that on the Spire, I published a post above.

Filters important building block in a synthesizer, but the practice shows the final sound shaping not filter, and its modulation circuit (on the behavior of this bunch, and this will sound).

This video does not change anything. Spire can not simulate a virus. Ideal filters close to the virus I repeat !!! Do not imitate the sound of virus !!! "!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Relax, man The filter video shows that the filters in TI and Spire indeed behave slightly differently. The vids are not mine btw, I don't have a Virus.

I've just sold my Virus TI2. The Virus has it's own sound. But Spire is a very high quality synth, and if you want bid big pad/trance sounds this is for you (good for bass too). With all the other soft synths I have I don't miss my Virus at all.
I'll be keeping my Nord4 R, because of it's signature sounds.
