I'm hoping that Bazille will continue to satisfy my modular itch... I can just see the $ flying out the door!! :hihi:

If I were to buy the Braids or the Shapeshifter, I'd be using it as a loose desktop module just sitting on my workbench. That's if it's possible to do such a thing, though I can't see why it wouldn't.

Getting an empty case would just prompt a buying spree to fill it, and then I'd be broke :x

Eurorack requires a linear power supply. Not switching. At least one manufacturer has managed to make a switching psu work (I forget who), but in general it won't work. For a single module, I believe Doepfer still sells a small psu for DIY enclosures.

This is a slippery slope, however. I finally had to draw a line in the sand at 45U and say that no new modules are coming in unless an old one leaves.
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

Not exactly correct... You need regulators to get +12v, -12v and +5v outputs from a switching supply but they are commonly used now. TipTop Audio, Enclave and a few others use switching supplies rather than linear supplies. I replaced the MakeNoise distro boards in my Enclave case, so I could use a linear supply to power my Shared System.

Be careful, the Doepfer mini case only provides 200mA and the Shapeshifter draws 195mA from the +12 rail.
The one I had couldn't power an ES3, a Tyme Sefari and an MFB Dual LFO at the same time.
