I reviewed the newer Mackie monitors for gearslutz a little while back. I thought they were good budget speakers

One of my MR5 mkII woofers died in a week with almost no use. My return situation was a hassle (shipping not worth it), so I tried to buy a used MR5 to match but it has problems as well. Next time I'll try the new budget ADAMs.Aiynzahev wrote:I reviewed the newer Mackie monitors for gearslutz a little while back. I thought they were good budget speakers

I recently bought the JBL LSR308. Flat, quiet, smooth response. For the price, a HUGE bang!

I have the Adam A7's, I think the new models are A7x's or something. But they are killer, very flat, and still budget priced. Probably about $3,000 USD for the pair.

I was referring to the F series.

I have the A7X and they cost me 800€ as pair over a year ago. I bought them with 3-year-warranty from Thomann.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Have to throw in a good word for the Yamaha MSP7's. I'm very impressed with their detail and apparent flatness. If I get a chance to use them long term I'll report on how they translate.

Perhaps we can wake up this old thread to pin down a lower end of the price spectrum. This system is better than it has any right to be, considering the total cost ($175.00, $108 of that being the subwoofer.) 1. http://www.amazon.com/Micca-MB42-Booksh ... y_23_img_z (http://www.amazon.com/Micca-MB42-Bookshelf-Speakers-Tweeter/dp/B009IUIV4A/ref=pd_bxgy_23_img_z)
