Those controllers looking good but too bulky,no really easily portable, probably too heavy.
Watch it,while you musicians must sit at home for plaing and produzing another market is well made for light and slick portability, can't play those things properly but who cares..
It's not that the industry is conducting your next move,it's the "Germanist student" which got a job recently in the marketing department after graduating, not able to play one chord or to sing a single verse but to have a "good idea".

I don't think they're too heavy, nor bulky. They DO look quality made.

Wasn't talking about quality,i like NI,let's see what the dimensions are in real live,EvilDragon wrote:I don't think they're too heavy, nor bulky. They DO look quality made.
However,portability isn't all about putting a keyboard on a backseat,and a laptop in a backpack.

I was talking about the really new cinematic drums instrument and I believe a really new strings instrument - I buy Komplete, not Komplete Ultimate, so I would be really happy if, for example, they include session horns pro, rise & hit, action strikes, kinetic metal and session strings pro in the next version.Echoes in the Attic wrote:Cinematic strings? Their only strings are already in there - Session Strings (& Pro)Karmacomposer wrote:I'd like to see their new cinematic strings and drums software in the new Komplete and more Maschine integration (and cool stuff for it).
That would make me happy.

I may have to pony up for the Ultimate edition.

All of the Komplete crossgrades are gone (I was mulling it). Perhaps they are jumping the gun..

What's interesting about the Kontrol S keyboards is the price and an assumption they will probably need some kind of controller software. I think we we see a "Komplete/Kontrol" host application which centrally manages everything. And as per Maschine, when bought separately, I think they will come with a lite version of Komplete.
Interested to see how this will link with Maschine - which I expect will get some kind of update around the same time to align. Wouldn't be surprised if NI are trying to consolidate everything into a single core platform (hybrid Machine/Komplete/Kontrol DAW).
Wish they would stop using Reaktor ensembles for new instruments....that's my bugbear.

Does anyone know how much the upgrade from Komplete 9 Ultimate to Komplete 10 Ultimate costs? Does it include Molekular and Action (Aktion) strike?
I'm a little disappointed by Komplete 10, but maybe the price will be reasonable (lower).

Think I will be skipping K10. New pianos is not enough to justify the upgrade.
Unless of course they have hidden updates for Kontakt, Reaktor, or Absynth

The upgrade pricing hasn't been leaked, so no. Last time iirc it was 400 euros. Almost certain Molekular and Action Strike will be in Ultimate. I'd assume everything not in the Maschine or Traktor range will be in.kiezum wrote:Does anyone know how much the upgrade from Komplete 9 Ultimate to Komplete 10 Ultimate costs? How can you be disappointed in something that isn't released or have any hard facts on ?

Well to be fair the contents of the basic Komplete have been leaked. All we're really waiting for are details on the three new synths / fx (widely assumed to be Reaktor ensembles, though I don't think that's known as fact). Looks 99.9% certain that Kontakt, Reaktor and the other synths are as is. So disappointment might be a tad hasty, but not Kompletely unreasonable (see what I did there?)topaz wrote:How can you be disappointed in something that isn't released or have any hard facts on ?
Personally I think a lot of folks are going to be interested in trading up to Ultimate this time around, which looks a lot more Kompelling (ok, enough with the Ks). No idea how Kontrol will sell - ok but not spectacularly well would be my best guess.
