I sat down the other day and ive been trying to recreate the leads and bass in the Elephante remixes of Lordes Team and Lemaitres Wait. I couldn't seem to get anything accurate.
I tried to get the main lead in the drop together with a bass that's underneath it, but I cant seem to get the same lead and the same bass, and especially not get the presence of the lead but still maintaining the bass in a good way... The sounds sound pretty similar in both of the songs.

What's the secret behind this? the lead really feels like it's popping out, but still it isn't too loud.

Here's the remix:

No "secret" here it´s subtle sidechain ducking/volume automation that is keeping it in place and then the level has been adjusted overall also the notes are quite tight on the ones that don´t sustain for long so it gives the illusion of being locked into the arrangement more

As for the lead itself it sounds like PWM to me (modulating the pulse width of a square)then the usual suspects like eq etc but it´s the sidechain which is doing the majority of the illusion and the arrangement
