I'm thinking to add AGL to my VI but I'm uncertain whether it's compatible or not with 10.9.5 Mavericks and Digital Performer 8.x

Hi, you can download AGM full version and see if it works with DP8. If AGM works well, AGL will have no problem too.

Well...
I just bought yesterday AGL and it will installed tomorrow on my system. Before downloading it both DP and OSX 10.9.x were avaliable to choose, thus I presume and hope not to have wasted my money...

Well, I hope it works because AGL is, actually, the best classical guitar VI avaliable today.
