Btw... I don't think that Serum sounds cold or clean.

Only some bars without a "analog" effect or similar stuff on it. Filter and Wavetable position is modulated with a LFO+Envelope. "Think Thick" 2x Unison + Default Saw + German LP filter. Delay is also from Serum. Very easy and quick to program.

It's showing. Usually when you click browse parameters and move a knob, the linkable object is brought up in the browser. Nothing happens when I move the pitch wheel for some reason. There isn't a Pitch Wheel listed in the browser CC's either
Pitch wheel is dedicated to CC#1. Pitch Bend is dedicated to Pitch Bend MIDI messages. I would expect this is how many (if not most?) softsynths operate.

You would be surprised!!!
I am definitely with you on that this is how it should be.

The gui looks appealing... Though I already have massive and zebra (amongst some others)... Does serum have special features that other synths don't have?

Agree. I would say in general, arp is a thing which is good for VA. The benefits of its presence in the additive, wt or in granular seems doubtful imo (at least in its classical form).
It is better to add more different interesting warp modes ).

Post

I disagree on the arp and would like one in Serum.
Though they are external possibilities (like Cthulhu) it's nice to be able to save arp settings along with the patch for easy recall.

I find it's Formula Parser a nice addition...

In the past I had used such a formula editor with the now discontinued DNR Wave Designer to create a big amount of my own singly cycle waveforms (of course it still works here...). Such a feature could be very helpful indeeed.

after a few days of Seruming, here's a few things that would be very helpful:

- All effects on/off knob
- Effect Rack Presets/Saving Presets Per FX/per Rack
- Macro Rack Destination Presets, saving a set of 4 macros.
- OSC Table Edit undo, even one would be nice.
- Mousewheel Support for scrolling things on mouseover, for example scrolling the 256 waveforms.
- A view of all 256 waves at the same time if neededmaybe a few rows or somthing. scrolling sucks.
- Chord Memory
- Note Pan Styles (like in Imposcar2)
- double clicking on mod source icon should allow you to edit the blue halo.
- +1 for Arp

isn't there one already or did I misunderstood?
I think it needs a general undo/redo

- In the OSC Table Edit, right clicking on a wave should bring _at least_ the ADD/REMOVE options. going to the menus all the time sucks. Some buttons/keycommands for the most used stuff would be nice too, like 'delete' for example.

This works for me, with knobs, and with the little thumbnails in the editor (OS X). Only place where it doesn't work is the wavetableview in the Osc section, but there you could use the WTPos knob.

Are you going to do a soundest for Serum? I'd buy that.
