Are improvements to the MIDI Clock Transmitter or MidiOut.setShouldSendMidiBeatClock() part of the 1.1 API updates? More specifically, it would be great if you could transmit in Song (SPP) mode, or send the Song Position Pointer so you can have Bitwig drive the timeline of something else that accepts this. I've been trying to figure out a way to work with video and Bitwig, and at the moment I'm leaning towards just running Ableton Live with a video in it, set to respond to the MIDI clock. But I think Bitwig is only sending start/stop messages, but not the time position, so it's not exactly useful for this purpose. Thanks!

Another user was solving this with the rewire VST to sync Ableton Live running the Video:

For windows there's a video VST from the Buzz Machine that can be loaded into Bitwig directly.

Those Clock things are on the list but possibly will come after 1.1

Cheers,

Tom

Thanks Tom - I had no luck with Rewire VST on my Windows or Mac, with plenty of experimenting (32- vs 64-bit installations, etc). Granted, I was trying to get it to see Reason which it never did, not using it to sync with Ableton. For the sake of mental health, I'm also never going down the JACK road again. Looking forward to post-1.1 API updates, good to know they're at least on a future list! :D

I'll check out the Buzz Machine VST.

Hm - I never tried Reason with Rewire VST, everything else seemed to work. With some software you need to start it manually though. Here's the thread where it's described:

A month!? Damn, it keeps going back further and further. Are they having problems with it then?

My 2 cents;

This update is more like 1.5 with features, there is a lot going on. We are testing it, crashing it and sending them bug/crash reports so you don't have to. :)

one question:

if I use the new MIDI/Audio routing tools, is it possible to also receive the own midi/audio of the track or is it no mixing of two signals and just of the received signal?

If it is mixed, this would be nice!

i just tried with Zynaptiq Unfilter vst (a big latency creator) inside an FX Layer device.
Using the Mix knob between wet and dry showed no phasing or audible delay at all.
Is this what you mean? If not, give an example and i'll try it out.

Great, seems fixed then... thanks for trying it out :)
