Xils 3 LE will replace your Xils 3 if you install it on the same machine. ( This is to ensure total compatibility of projects for those who upgrade their LE to Xils 3 full version, of for those who began a project on a laptop with the LE installed, then develop the project in their studio and main audio desktop computer with the full Xils 3 installed on it)

The reverse is therefore also true : Xils 3 will replace the LE version if installed on the same machine.

There's however no interaction if you install both the LE and the Xils 4 on the same machine. Daws will see them as two separate, and independant entities.

My question was about the "CM version," as it's also referenced in thread title.

I thought it might work alongside the full version of 3, but behaves instead like LE.

Computer Music n°211 is all about 'modular synthesis'. And they choose the Xils LE special CM Edition ( free in CM 211) to make some tutorials. And a full track using only Xils 3 LE !!

Just a note : Trapez Envelopes ( looping EVs in the ange of analog ) lead to different keyboard techniques, as you can use them for exemple to alternate between some kind of arpeggios/rythm patterns ( by playing *strummed* chords ) and standard stabs or chords ( play all notes with a regular sync hit ). They are really fun to play, very *creative*, and a bit tricky to master when live playing, but once you are used to them, you just can't imagine living without them anymore.
