Need Help (Pitch Shifting Plug-in)

Hi there.
I'm currently using Cubase 7 and find VariAudio to be good (the only pitch shifting option I currently have apart from a couple of samplers which I haven't experimented with). However I'm struggling with pitching vocals.
I know Melodyne is considered very good in this regard but is there an alternative pitch shifting plug-in that I can use to transpose vocals for them to sound more natural or perhaps a specific formant/timbre shaping plug-in that can be used in combination with Variaudio?
Any help appreciated on this.

If you don't need a low latency realtime effect, G200kg's Kerovee sounds great with pitch shifting vocals. I've never heard anything comparable, so far.

Even live Kerovee's great. I use it live quite often for robotic pitch effects.
